Hello everybody 😊 . Now I am going to talk about our today's practice. Firstly the practice was planned at 10:00 beside the Khoja Zayniddin complex . After our intern Nigora Kuldasheva coming she asked information about this place. Some of our course-mates informed. And we went on our practice.
Khoja Zayniddin complex is an architectural monument in Bukhara (first half of the 16th century); A historical monument built by master Mir Dostumbi in honor of Imam al-Bukhari at the initiative of Zayniddin during the Shaibani dynasty of Bukhara Khanate. The complex is located in Khoja Zayniddin Guzar, in the southwestern part of the city. The Khoja Zayniddin complex has a mosque, a pool, a school, a mausoleum, and rooms for pilgrims[1]. Currently, the complex is included in the national list of immovable property objects of material and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
The Khwaja Zainuddin complex was built by master Mir Dostumbi in honor of Imam al-Bukhari on the initiative of Khwaja Zainuddin, who was in charge of the Qazikalan of Bukhara. The building was built for a mosque and has rooms. Both the complex and the house served as a mosque. The building was multi-roomed and domed. The complex has multi-bedroom units with a pool in the middle. The hall-mosque has a porch, consists of columns, and the dome part of the room is decorated with patterns[2]. There is a tomb of Khojai Turk in the complex of Khoja Zayniddin, and a flag is raised above it. The mosque-khanaqah also has an ablution room and Haji Rahmatullah's rooms. The pool of the complex is large angular and raised from stones. The pool was built in the first half of the 16th century. In 1913, at the initiative of Bukhara emir Amir Olimkhan, the pool of the complex was repaired, and the "obpartar" in the southeast of the pool was replaced with a new one made of marble. It is decorated in the style of a dragon's open mouth. Quldurum is decorated with ornamentation, and there is an inscription with information about the year of renovation and the author[1]. In 1970-1975, renovation works were carried out in the Khoja Zainiddin complex, and it is now well preserved. The interior of the mihrab, located on the western wall of the Khoja Zainiddin mosque, is decorated with intricate patterns. The pillars of the mosque are well preserved. Currently, the mosque is operating.
Khoja Zayniddin's complex is made of brick, wood, stone and concrete. The mosque-khanaqah consists of a large room with a gabled dome and 5 small rooms and a porch adjoining it on both sides, the pool occupies a large part of the courtyard; the tomb of Khoja Zainuddin is placed in one of the archways on the southern side of the room. A remnant of a pattern is preserved on the main style of the room. The large room leads to 3 sides (through a deep archway to the street and 2 sides to the porch). The dome of the room rests on its base with the help of complex shield-shaped arches, the interior of the dome is divided into 32, decorated with small flowers, and the lower part of the dome is framed by a row of muqarnas. The walls of the room and the mihrab are decorated with muqarnas in the shape of a semi-dome. The wall signs are decorated with complex geometrical shapes made of rivets, plant-like patterns; the dome, takhmons, mihrab, and a series of inscriptions on the western wall were made in the kundal style. The upper part of the wall is covered with Islamic patterns (white, black, blue). The walls of the large room adjacent to the porch are divided into arched manifestations. A point in the northeast. An 8-pillared 7m porch overlooks a stone-lined courtyard with a pool (water is supplied to the pool from a marble fountain carved in the shape of a dragon). The ceiling of the porch is curved, divided into 7 star-shaped pools, attractively decorated with geometric patterns. Khoja Zayniddin complex is valuable as a structure that uniquely embodies the architecture of public and religious buildings.
The practice was great and useful. We got loads of information. For this we thanks our intern . Bye 👐🏼
