Day 3
Hello everybody
I'm glad to see you. At the today's practice we went Bahouddin Naqshband mausoleum, where is well-known and historical place in Bukhara . We met here with our teacher Bahodir Jalilov at 9:30 o'clock and visited to the mausoleum .
Bakhouddin Muhammad Naqshbandi Bukhari (1314-1389) was born in Bukhara, in the village of Kasri Orifon ("Castle of known the divine truth"). Sheikh’s Mother - Bibi Orifa was kind of the "Sayid", ie the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad. His father was a craftsman - chaser, why Sheikh earned the nickname "Naqshband".
Naqshbandi Teachings negative attitude to life at another's expense. Naqshbandi followers believed correct, clean ("Halol"), only those funds that are obtained in the work, the sweat of his brow. This rule Naqshbandi laid the foundation of his teaching. His famous motto is "Dil ba Yoru, dast ba kor!" (Heart to God, hands to work!) is still popular among the people. Widespread acceptance in the Muslim world, Sheikh received during his three-year pilgrimage. In the future it will become the patron of crafts.
The Bahouddin Naqshband architectural complex is a cult ensemble located in a suburban area of Bukhara. It consists of Khazira (Dahma), a madrasah, two mosques and a minaret. The complex served as the center of the dervish order of the Naqshbandi. Its head, Sheikh Bahouddin Naqshband, died in 1389 and was buried near the village of Kasri Arifon (now in the Kagan region) near Bukhara.
The Bahouddin Naqshband complex bears characteristic features of the 16th century, having a necropolis combined with a ritual building. In 1544, Abd al-Aziz-khan designed the burial of the sheikh in the form of a visible aboveground crypt – dakhma with a marble carved fence on top. The mother of Abulfayz Khan (1711-1747) at her own expense ordered to build a mosque with two ivans (terraces). In the 19th century Nasrullah Khan's vizier (minister) Hakim Kushbegi built a second mosque. The minaret (tower) was built in 1720.
The main building of the complex is the khanqah. Before the frontal of the mosque there is the minaret and small madrassah. To the west from dahma, in separate courtyard there is the large necropolis, where Naqshbandi is buried. Graves of his mother and his teacher - Said Mir Kulol, are situated not far from his grave.
The Mausoleum of Saint Bakhouddin Naqshbandi is considered as the Central Asian Mekka. Believers from different muslim countries come here to ask for the fulfilment of wishes and healing.
The complex also includes the museum, which keeps the true information about Sufi and Sufism: Sufi wearing, books and other expositions.
So our Todayʼs practice was over. It was rich in necessary information about Bahouddin Naqshband mausoleum. Thank you for your attention ☺️☺️
